Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of hire.page ("the Service"), operated by the hire.page team ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What hire.page is

hire.page is a hosted tool for building public hire pages, collecting job applications, and managing applicants through a kanban-style pipeline with team comments, ratings, and stage-triggered emails. It is sold on subscription plans described on our pricing page.

2. Your account

You must be 16 or older to create an account. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account — keep your password and any API keys private, and contact us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

You're also responsible for any teammates you invite into your workspace. Admins can edit pages, settings, and billing; Reviewers can rate and comment on applicants but not change pages or billing.

3. Workspaces, content, and ownership

Everything you put into hire.page — hire pages, applicant records, custom questions, internal notes, ratings, email templates — is your content. You own it. You grant us a limited licence to host, display, and process it solely to provide the Service.

You're responsible for the lawfulness of your hire pages and the information you collect on them. Don't post discriminatory roles, don't ask candidates for data you don't need, and don't use the Service to harass or harvest people.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to post or distribute illegal, deceptive, or discriminatory content.
  • Send unsolicited bulk email, spam candidates, or use the platform for purposes other than hiring.
  • Scrape, mine, or republish another customer's data, hire pages, or applicants.
  • Probe, attack, or attempt to reverse-engineer the Service or interfere with other customers' workspaces.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend or close any account that violates these rules.

5. Plans, billing, and refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Annual plans bill 12 months up front at the equivalent of 10 months — you save roughly 17%.

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period and your workspace drops to the Free plan; data is retained, nothing is deleted. Unused months on an annual plan are refunded pro-rata if you cancel.

If a feature gated by your plan is removed by a downgrade (for example, a custom domain on the Free plan), the feature stops working — but the underlying data stays on your account in case you upgrade again.

6. Free plan

The Free plan is offered as-is and has lower limits (one active hire page, hire.page branding visible, limited video responses per month). We may change Free plan limits with reasonable notice.

7. Email sent through the Service

Stage-transition emails sent from your workspace are sent on your behalf via our outbound mail provider. You're responsible for the content of those emails and for honouring opt-outs from candidates who reply asking to stop. We won't send marketing email to candidates on your behalf — only the templates you configure.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't promise a specific uptime on the Free, Starter, or Growth plans. Scale and above receive priority support; Enterprise customers can request a written SLA.

We may take the Service down for short, scheduled maintenance, and we'll post on our status page or email you for anything material.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time from workspace settings. On closure, your workspace is scheduled for deletion within 30 days unless you re-open it. You can export your data to CSV before you close.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have unpaid invoices more than 14 days overdue, after written notice.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity.

11. Changes to these terms

When we materially change these terms we'll email account owners and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of London, unless local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
